Encouragement 4 Your Life
In the September of 2009, my husband and I were faced with a reality check about life. Our world officially crashed. It was a dynamic of events including the loss of both of our jobs, a broken family, the loss of our home church and our children's school. I would not even know how to begin the story on this blog so I will save us both a headache and a LOT of time! All I will say about it is that we were put into a situation where we could either trust God and allow Him to do what He wanted to do with us or continue to stay in a toxic environment, so we chose to trust God. It was during some long days of trying to adjust to being without a job that I decided to start this blog to get my mind off of things. Being without a job for six months will cause anyone to start couponing and so I did. When I start something, I often go overboard. Can you tell? I called this site The Coupon Clipping Nut because I intended it to be about coupons but then I realized that there are already so many great blogs out there about coupons. So if I could change the name I would. I do offer coupon deals and Real Meals each week, but this section is one of the most important sections to me because there is more to life than coupons or money. Before last September, I was a workaholic and I spent a lot of time at work, even though it was in ministry. But I remember what it was like to work all day and come home and be stressed out with the housework and cooking with little or no time left for my children or husband, or more importantly, time with God. One of the things we learned through our life changing situation is that our children are our first ministry. We also learned that trials will change you no matter what. During one of the most difficult trials of our life, I must say we chose to allow God to change us for the good to bring Him honor and glory and although this site is about "coupons", I pray that before you leave you will be encouraged because there is hope. If you are going through a trial in your life, choose to allow God to teach you something and make you stronger instead of changing you for the worse. Too many times marriages and families are destroyed because of trials or financial hardships. Don't let that be you. This section of the blog is to strengthen and encourage you. We all get overwhelmed and frustrated but we can put our hope in Jesus Christ and I promise you He will never let you down!
