Publix Trip 2-15-10
I had a pretty good day today! The family is very proud of me for saving so much money lately but I have been stockpiling so naturally we have an abundance in just certain items (i.e. ritz crackers, yogurt, betty crocker fruit snacks, chex mix etc.) and they are getting tired of the same items. (Sorry, but how do you pass up yogurt and chex mix for $.25 per pack!) So I had to break down and buy some things today that I did not have coupons for. I started to freak out and hyperventilate as we were shopping, having flashbacks of my Walmart days, but as the cashier was scanning my coupons, I felt the stress lifting when I saw my bill go down from $185 to $83! I was actually very impressed and now the family can not fuss about not having variety. I also did stockpile on some cookie dough and butter because it was soooo cheap and I splurged on two Sara Lee Cheesecakes. Yes, I know it totally goes against my blood type diet! I will definitely feel the aftermath but I tend to believe it may be worth it! So I end the day with a total savings of $102 and I am proud! I have chicken, ground beef, butter, yogurt, nuts, fruits and vegetables, bread, juice, eggs, salad dressing, and milk just to name a few! In one of the hardest financial times in our lives, our cabinets and fridge is stocked up and I saved nearly 70% doing it! Everyone should at least give couponing a try! You will be amazed! Feel free to contact me at jenglish647@att.net if you are interested and have questions about getting started. I am always glad to help a family in need!
