Back to the Real World!

Well, vacation is over for me and it's back to the real world!  It was nice though.  We had a great time together as a family.  With the stresses of life, it is nice sometimes to get away and reflect on what is most important. 

We got home Saturday night and between the unpacking, setting up for school, washing clothes and going to church Sunday, I seriously needed another B12 shot this morning and I am up and running again :).  I hope you all had a great week. 

I have decided over vacation that in order to regain focus and save myself some time, I will no longer be clipping each and every coupon and filing them, but I am going back to the "No Clip" system (recommended in Coupon Mom's Book).  I started out this way and then switched in March.  I am just going to separate my pages from the weekly insert and staple all of the same pages together and then punch a hole in the side and stick them in a binder with the oldest towards the back.  I will write the date in big black marker on the front of each insert and it will be easy to find the coupons that I need when making my grocery shopping list, especially if using http://www.couponmom.com/.  When you print your list with couponmom, it will print either in ABC order or by date of insert. This is a really simple way to do it if you are short on time and that seems to be my problem lately.  I love being home with my kids and homeschooling them but now that school is back in session I am going to have to save some of that time from clipping and filing.  I also found that when I was doing it that way, I ended up spending more money than I wanted because of impulse buying at the store.  I can still take my coupons with me and just leave them in the car in case of an "emergency find" :).  Everyone has to find out what works best for them and after trying both ways, I like the "no clip" system much better.
