Coupon Burnout? Two Simple Solutions

Suffering from coupon burn out???  Been there, done that.  There are two different methods that make the couponing experience super easy and will save you from having a freak out attack:
  • The first method that I want to discuss is simply scanning through the list of coupons that are coming out before you buy.  Check out the Sunday Coupon Preview, then you can decide which coupons you want (because let's face it, us busy mom's just don't have time to get EVERY SINGLE DEAL and we end up throwing away half of our coupons.  Even though I am The Coupon Clipping Nut does not make me exempt from this tiny little fact ;).  So after you get a good idea of the coupons that you want, you can go a coupon clipping service like The Coupon Clippers or The Coupon Carry Out Service and simply purchase the coupons you want.  They will
be shipped to your home in a matter a few days already cut and ready for you.  All you have to do is stick them in a file either by ABC order or by Type (I personally do better with ABC because it is really easy to find items that way if you are in a hurry, but everyone is different)
  • The second method is the one I use because I do have a little more time on my hands, but still not enough time to cut and file every single coupon.  I file the entire insert from the weekly paper in a binder. I match up all of the pages that are the same, putting all three or four sheets together (depending on how many papers I get). Then I punch three holes in the side and simply stick it in a binder. I use a sticky note split in half and write the date and either SS (Smart Source) or RP (Red Plum) or PG (Proctor and Gamble) or GM (General Mills) at the top.  It may sound a little unprofessional but I can promise you that it works.  Using http://www.couponmom.com/ I can print out my lists and it will show where I can find each coupon.
